Johor Bahru, formerly known as Tanjung Puteri or Iskandar Puteri in the Malay language, is the capital of the state of Johor, Malaysia. A bustling city but one with little of interest for the casual tourist, it is a significant regional transport and manufacturing hub. With a causeway across the Straits of Johor connecting it to Singapore, it’s a gateway for exploration of that island nation!
